So today was a very productive day... seeing how I was stranded to my house. This morning I woke up to a call from Scott asking when I would be coming over to "work on stuff", AKA he took the front door off to paint and was still on call for work and could get a call any minute but couldn't leave the house. After my long night of laying in bed tossing and turing and not sleeping I can't say I was entirely stoked to be up and going.
After sliding out of bed and putting some cereal into a zippy bag I made my way, pj's and all, over to the house. To no dismay on my part he was already outside rockin' out and sanding away on our over sized front door. Now I have to admit this was mostly my idea. I decided when our realtor said that our front door "needed some work" that we should paint it bright red! Scott being the sweet man he is agreed and even did the sanding, helped prime it and helped with the first coat... and then he got a call.
So here is the rest of my day...deal with the carpet cleaner guy that had to come back because carpet guy number one doesn't know how to get the spots out, spot paint walls through the whole house. Yes folks, every nick and ding!!! Did I mention this has been a bachelor pad for the last year or so with roomys ta boot? Yup! Every room took a good portion of time scrubbing the walls and finding the dents and scratches. Then run outside and paint the door...reset and repeat.
Oh I forgot to tell you about my trusty side kick, Chester. He is our sweet little guy that has to hover. No matter what I am doing he is right there by my side, but usually it's right there in my way or right there on my lap. Love him, I really do, but truth be told, that gets old fast.
So to end the day of being stranded at the front doorless abode I put on the last coat of paint on the door. Of coarse Scott wasn't aloud to help because after a day of painting our door I am now a master door painter. Duh. As I am masterfully finishing my...masterpeice...yeah, anyways, these stupid little bugs start landing on my wet paint. Now I dunno about you but I was not entirely sold on the idea of a bug speckled bright red door. So there I am picking them off with a knife and cursing as new ones land somewhere else. But all is well, the door has been transported to the front room, there is a big board covering our front door (good thing we live in St George) and the heat is finally on in the house. Needless to say it has been a very interesting and exciting paint filled day!

Getting Started!
So I have been debating for awhile about the whole blog thing and after talking myself in and out of it several times, I have decided to bite the bullet and get on the bandwagon.
Scott and I live a really active life and I will shortly be starting a new job so I hope to be able to keep on top of everything and keep everyone updated but my apologies if it takes me a bit to get things up and running!!!
